A Dickens of a Webquest
The setting is Victorian England. You are living in London, and Charles Dickens' novel, A Tale of Two Cities has just been published. You read the book with vigor and were appalled at the atrocities that were carried out during The French Revolution. You turned page after page hanging on every word as you followed the characters through the Reign of Terror! It is with great satisfaction one night that you turn the last page, close the book, and feel that everything is settled in your mind. You think about the guillotine, the injustice, and the horror of the book as you blow out your reading candle and you say a thankful prayer that such a dark time in history has ended.......or has it? -
