Dear Band Supporter—

Here we are, looking forward to the 2011-2012 band season already! We hope that you’ve been able to enjoy the terrific programs presented by the bands during this past year! The Band Boosters take great pride in our talented young musicians and, as in the past, we are excited to see the incredible advancement of ALL of the students—from the 6th grade bands all the way to the award-winning Perrysburg High School bands.

We encourage all band families, alumni, and friends to become members of our organization, and would like to take this opportunity to invite you to become a Patron of the Perrysburg Band program. As a Patron you are showing your support for ALL the bands. Patron memberships provide essential funding for promoting and maintaining a quality band program at Perrysburg Schools. These funds are used to cover expenses not paid by the school system, including equipment maintenance, some classroom supplies, uniforms (parts, pieces, and maintenance), section clinicians, competition fees, and trips. And the cost of your membership is also tax deductible.

The levels of Patron involvement are Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Standard. Each membership level will receive a Band Patron cling for their vehicle window. In addition, Bronze patrons will receive 1 one Crystal Concert ticket, Silver patrons will receive two tickets, and Gold patrons will receive four tickets. As the concert dates draws near, please go to the Band website for the specific dates of when the Crystal Concert tickets will be available for pick-up (http://faculty.perrysburgschools.net/groups/hsband/).

One last thing—does your employer offer a matching gift program? Certain employers often match employee charitable contributions dollar for dollar. (For example, let’s say you join the Band Booster organization as a Silver patron and send in your donation of $75.00. If your company offers a matching gifts program, they too will donate $75.00 to the Band Booster organization.) When you submit your membership form, please also look into whether your company offers this program and, if so, let them know that you have made your contribution to the Perrysburg Band Boosters. Remember, these donations are tax deductible, and are a terrific way to support our student musicians.

Our children work hard and take their music seriously. We are proud of the talent they have and the progress they continue to show. Patron membership is a great way to show YOUR support and become involved in the area’s greatest music program, in a school district selected as one of the "BEST 100 COMMUNITIES FOR MUSIC EDUCATION IN AMERICA" for a fifth straight year! Please join the Band Boosters and help us maintain the high quality Perrysburg band program that we now enjoy.
