Students attending Penta Career Center will earn credit in academic areas during half of their day, while the other half of the day is in vocational training. Busing is provided to Penta Career Center from Perrysburg Junior High School, if needed. Students should check Penta's school calendar and school day schedule, as it is different from PHS.
Explore Penta Days
All sophomore students visited Penta Career Center in November 2011. Students will have a general building tour and will choose two programs which are of greatest interest to them.
Sophomore Exploratory Program
Sophomore students may be eligible to attend Penta Career Center during their sophomore year during which they will explore two program clusters. Students must have earned at least 2 credits during their freshman year of high school. It is recommended that students complete their physical education requirements during their freshman year at PHS.
Students will participate in a Career Assessment with Penta's staff members. Results of the Career Assessment are discussed with the students and their parents to make decisions regarding program selection. Students must complete a Career Assessment Application as well as a general Penta Application which can be found at www.pentacareercenter.org.
