    Award of Merit

    Students must meet the following minimum requirements upon graduation to qualify for the Award of Merit. This certificate will be awarded by the State Board of Education to all those who meet the following criteria.

    • 4 credits of English
    • 3 credits of Math
    • 3 credits of Science
    • 3 credits of Social Studies
    • 3 credits of one Foreign Language
    • 1 credit of Fine Arts
    • Either 2 credits of Business/technology/fine arts or 2 additional units from one or more of the areas listed above.
    • Cumulative gpa of 3.25 or higher
    • Average attendance grades 9-12
    • Participate in co-curricular, extracurricular or community activities
    • Demonstrate outstanding citizenship/character traits
