Students are responsible for keeping track of their own credits, as well as make sure they are in line to graduate with their class. If a student fails a required course, he/she must attend summer classes or retake the course the following school year. Please contact your counselor should you have any questions or concerns about credit requirements.
Minimum graduation requirements for graduating classes through 2013:
- 4 units of English
- 3 units of Mathematics
- 3 units of Science
- 3 units of Social Studies (.5 Government and 1 American History)
- 1 unit Health/PE (PE is 2 semesters at .25 per semester)
- 1 unit from the area of Business, Fine Arts, Foreign Language
- 6 elective courses
- Total of 21 credits
- Pass all sections of the Ohio Graduation Test
Minimum graduation requirements for graduating classes 2014 and beyond:
- 4 units of English
- 4 units of math including Algebra II
- 3 units of Science
- 3 units of Social Studies
- 1 unit of Health/PE (PE is 2 semesters at .25 credit per semester)
- 1 unit of Fine Art
- 5 elective courses
- Total of 21 credits
- Pass all sections of the Ohio Graduation Test
